There are two choices of doors that you have to take into account at the time of getting your office or residential accommodation furnished. One option is the type that connects one room to another and the other one is entry /exit door of your home or office.Well, for some of the folks doors are just door – doesn’t matter internal or external. But, when you consider both the options, there are several differences. Internal doors usually save good space while in the case of external doors this space is of no use because it requires opening space too.

Let us consider a simple example – if you’ve an internal sliding door at the entrance of your office, you don’t have to leave a 2-3feet margin to organize the other things like welcome chairs, desk, reception dais etc. However, if you make use of external doors, there’s no choice but to leave that much gap, and far worse, there are good chances of accidentally banging somebody while you open an external door, especially if it is opaque!

More so, an internal sliding door can be made of thin glass sheets of 4-5mm thickness, while an external door requires sturdy material and solid construction that can resist the exposure to the other side of the door, and hence you may have to use 10-12mm thick glass sheets. Because of this fact the price of external doors is more compared to internal sliding doors and also some of the issues like sealing, insulation etc. need to be kept in mind while making external doors.

In this way internal sliding doors come out to be most cost effective if compared with external doors and besides this they come in various lovely styles that can exactly match with the d?cor of your office or home. The other important thing is that with the use of internal doors you can easily separate a space from the rest of the room without any wastage of inch of space.

Internal sliding doors give you high level of flexibility and versatility, especially in terms of coloring. For example, if you have set of sliding doors between your children’s room and one child has reddish tinge while the other has whitish tinge then you can paint one side of the sliding door while the other side remains as it is- it actually gives a great look.Let us take an example of a set of sliding doors in between your children’s room; there is a tinge of purple color in one room of your child while the other child’s room has whitish tinge, thus in order to give an attractive look to both of the rooms with internal sliding, you can paint one side and leave the other side as it is and you will actually find it great.

If we compare all aspects except the security aspect of internal doors and external doors then it can be easily said that internal doors are more efficient than external doors. If we consider the security part of internal sliding doors then it is good to use alternative arrangement such as shutter because internal sliding doors are easy to break.
